Woodinville is a picturesque river valley community located in King County, around thirty minutes’ drive northeast of Seattle. Woodinville is a major producer of wine, and its Warehouse District features the greatest concentration of winemakers per square foot in the world. Woodinville also has a world-class craft brewing scene and beautiful scenery set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Rainier. Downtown Woodinville is full of unique shops such as Molbak’s Garden + Home, a delightful family-run store with a plant nursery and great home décor items. Hopheads Taproom has twenty craft beers on tap and delicious gourmet sandwiches and calzones. Pasta Nova pairs refined Italian cuisine with wines from Italy and the local area. Woodinville Farmers’ Market runs each Sunday between May and October, where dozens of vendors offer fresh produce and handmade crafts. Woodinville has more than 100 wine tasting rooms, most of which are concentrated in the Warehouse District. Some standouts include an ever-changing selection at Patterson Cellars, perfectly balanced reds at Pandora Winery, and the best wines from Eastern and Central Washington vineyards at J. Bookwalter Tasting Room. The Warehouse District also offers great shopping at stores such as Eddie Bauer and Elegant DetailsLocated in the Hollywood District, Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest vineyard in Washington. Here, you can sample award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon on the gorgeous grounds of an estate first built in 1912. Family-friendly Novelty Hill is another attractive vineyard, where you can enjoy fine wine along with a tasting menu of exceptional Northwestern cuisine.
